madpeople

nope, normal too, it made national news i think here...

but it doesn't really matter

Boandlgrama

It is black tea BTW that widens the arteries and therefore prevents some heart/arterial diseases like stroke.
And no-one in his right mind would add milk to green tea anyway. Disgusting thought...

Ah, time for some ceylon tea, no milk, no sugar.

Grimmwolf

Green tea is even better than black tea (in that regard), but the test was not done with green tea and milk as no-one drinks green tea with milk anyway.

Boandlgrama

I tried it once - by mistake. I liked the nice little snowflakes swirling in my cup.
Tasted horrible though. :-/

Green tea has other effects as well. So you better drink both kinds! :)

Creeping_Death

green tea is nasty man

my friend baught some of that stuff and almost ruined my coffee maker with that purtrid nasty nasty taste, smell, color.....bleh. I threw away the remainder of his supply. I think I almost threw up that nasty crap  took me by suprise

I'm simply frightnened at the thought of exactly what black tea is, by the color, it usually indicates "stronger" taste.

Haven't you guys ever heard of coffee? :P

madpeople

yeah, but you don't get tea cups and saucers for biscuits with coffee like you do with tea, which just makes it less cool to drink in the middle of a war or crisis while getting shot at.

madpeople

you watch any good film with British militarily.

the commanders etc will be sitting drinking tea in the middle of the battle while their base gets attacked.

Boandlgrama

Yea, stiff upper lip! Bombshell left, sip, bombshell right, sip.

Black tea is the "regular" fermented tea (dark leaves) you can buy everywhere. Green tea is unfermented (green leaves).

I once had a Gunpowder green tea that tasted really nasty and made my eyelids twitch after 2 weeks of heavy use.
Maybe your freind had one of those.
Now I mainly drink Sencha/Bancha (bio without pesticides). And really tasty Ceylon reg tea.

madpeople

i say dear chap, the locals aren't particularly friendly today, any idea what their making all this fuss over?
yes, we invaded their country
ah, yes, jolly good fun eh! :)

Ah I see. Well, it is a big difference in taste. I like fermented tea then I guess.

Hmmm, perhaps that is what it was. My friend is German, 2nd generation usa immigrant, so his grandmother was born and raised in Germany, and he gets his tea from his grandmother :)

His grandmother is a nut too  Every Thanksgiving holiday she is always found to be upset, complaining how usa did bomb Berlin, and that Hitler was a good good man :P
