Jimmy did ask me what is the light bringer. The initial post above is part of my answer to him, mixed with a bit of his own interpretation. I am a bit puzzled by the topic title, the context in which he [you] wrote my email, or parts of it. :?
When you have your eyes closed, you see dark, when you open them, you see light. In this way, when Satan decieved Eve into eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, this symbolically "opened her eyes". From this, Satan earned the title of Lucifer. Lucifer meaning "the bearer of light/light bringer". Since the "light" here is a reference to "knowledge," Lucifer becomes the symbol for knowledge. Some folks even worship Lucifer because of this. Christians [and I guess Jews] acknowledge that Knowledge and wisdom come from G-d, and that Satan merely used it as a manipulation tool.
Remember, wisdom is the application of knowledge. You can have knowledge about something, but if you don't apply it, it's meaningless.
Anyways, dunno why this is here in fan fiction.
