So how are the plans with Doc Mac?

Will it become a status quo? I just need to know where to donate my precious geizhals money to ;)

Currently the first 7 months are paid with donations.

lexaal

With GPZ donations!  My lawyers are informed.
No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. Poor bastard will see them soon enough.

skutch

I'm glad my contribution helped in keeping a European server alive. Ill save up during the coming 7 months if you need some more contributions.

I canceled DocMach today... :pc:

Looking for alternatives (again). :x

Zruty

Were it daily lag spikes that made you do this?
Yea, it seems decent ISP for this can only be determined via trial and error...

There were even spikes, while nobody was playing. I even noticed the freezes on https admin page (page took ages to load) as well via remote desktop (machine doesn't respond for some secs).

But somehow you didn't noticed that freezes via ICP (ping).

lexaal

maybe they configured their data-center such that pings get a higher priority..

Does allegiance use icmp to make pings, or does it use in-game signals to measure latency?

I think this is based on DirectPlay, so no ICMP...

I've ordered the replacement of DocMach today.

Zruty

What does replacement mean? DocMach will be moved to another physical location/ISP? Or the hardware itself will be replaced, but the result will stay at the same place network-wise?
