teamspeak for GB

Would someone be so nice as to put all the needed Teamspeak info for the GB Teamspeak connection on this board?

servers, password, short comment on setup etc.
(passwords on the internal board maybe?)

I just used PKK's link to install the teamspeak client, I then did the portforwarding for my router (port 8767)...
Am I done now?

Where do I connect to other Alleg players esp. the GB?
(Teamspeak provides a huge list of servers - but where are you guys? - what is the adress of the GB teamspeak server?)

Logged on to ts.allegiance.org ... no one there to test Teamspeak :(

There is no PW installed yet for the GB server/channel?

As I said on internal boards, I asked Thal to give me admin rights and to assign a password. But that has yet to happen. :)

Only few people are using it right now, with GB's being the most numerous users as I have been able to see in a last couple of days.
Anyway we got our permanent channel, it just isn't passworded. Alhough Thal made me administrator, those rights somehow vanished (the software is still in beta anyway), so we must do with the unsecure channel for the time being.
That isn't such a big problem, as there are barely players in the main lobby of teamspeak, let alone German Borg channel.
Also, don't expect it to work right out of the box, cause your microphone and teamspeak settings will probably need some adjusting to work properly.

If you use TS/GV, disable all devices in the recording settings, excluding the microphone and disable the same in the play options.

Thank you-
that info is a start! (I use the GV Hardware)

I hope I can set everything up till the Z game tonight :)

(I really hope enough of our Vets show up!)

PS:
Is it possible, that my chepo old onboard sound doesn't have alle the fancy settings as posted by PKK? (I checked every sound setup I could find on my PC but the only options I had was enable or disable for sound and mike)

I did everything you said - however the soundoptions on my pc are rather limited.
(As I said before - I had already found the options you mentioned - PKK)
I could hear Snack and Grimm, but a lot of static as well and their volume was hardly understandable.
(I set my own volums on max etc. - that didnt help much - only increased static)

Why can't we use Gamevoice? Soundquality is so much better!
(Most of us have it and it has tested succesfully!)

Well, let's try gamevoice then. :)
Weird enough I had a strange problem with it. It was not with sound quality, but with sound breaking up in little pieces. Anyway I am open for any new tests.

I don't think GV is working better than TS2.

It's easier to meet on the TS2 server than on a seperate GV host.

In the past we had good experienmces with GV (that is PKK, OldGB, Battlehawk, Void, Grimmwolf - good sound, nice hardware)

(Its still worth a try as I m sitting behind a router now...)
